"Wham, bam, thank you clam," was the order of the day
Saturday, July 13 at the annual Thomas Family Clambake, held at my Grandparents' home in
Dansville, NY. Pictured here are my Dad and my Uncle Russ, who prepared the clams,
and my Aunt Liv and me, who gladly took part in eating them.
Marguerite was also as happy as a clam.
Grandpa poses with Mom after enjoying some "finger food."
Here's where Mom took over photography duty, putting her own unique
thumbprint on the situation.
After much practice, she perfects her skills on my Uncle Glenn.
Thanks to a miracle of modern technology, my cousin Allison is
digitally inserted into the day's festivities. Although she's pictured here with her
brother Noel, Allison was actually in Pennsylvania. Noel, on the other hand, only wished
that he was 350 miles away from the watchful eye of his cousin's digital camera.
Noel's Mom and Dad have long since decided that it's better just to
ignore the goofball with the camera.
Shhhh ... We wouldn't want to let the cat out of the bag!
And finally ... A family get-together just wouldn't be complete without
an attempt by my Mom to feed me a huge amounts of central nervous system depressants.
Here, she cleverly disguises the tranquilizers as a bowl of M&Ms. I foil
her scheme, opting instead to gorge myself a giant helping of greasy potato chips while
giving this year's Thomas Family Clambake another big jeffthomas.com thumbs up!
