Dad flashes a smile at his recent 56th birthday celebration as Mom
shares the good news: He's finally old enough that she will allow him to eat cake while
sitting on the good furniture.
Marguerite, Dad and I offer our reviews of "Ice Coffee," a one-act play starring
Greg and my Mom that will hit the road this Spring. While Marguerite and I found it
to be a compelling drama, Dad was even more enthusiasticnot about the play itself,
but about the fact that both Mom and Greg will be away for an extended amount of time!
Our friend Chris, portraying "Q-Tip Man," his super hero idea
that was rejected by Marvel comic books.
Mom took these pictures in an attempt to take her photographic art into a bold new
direction. Rather than block the camera lens with her world-renowned thumb, which is
her trademark style, Mom instructed her subjects to wear flesh-colored skull caps so that
we could actually portray giant personifications of her famous appendage. Mom's
motto in 2003: "Become the Thumb!"
Having most accurately portrayed the part of her thumb, Mom next
instructs me to push some tacks into the wall using my head.

They say that it's better to give than to receive. After
receiving these next two pictures, I believe them. Taken by my dear Aunt Liv during
the historic "Gallery #41" sessions,
she recently encouraged me to scan and post them under the threat of great bodily harm.

All
Wet!
We all occasionally spill a little beverage on our pants, right? So imagine my
embarrassment to learn that this perfectly innocent photo of a recent spillage incident
was featured as the centerfold in "Wet Pants," a bizarre European fetish
magazine. |
